Brainwave Headset - No Needs Batteries
Researchers have developed a set of brainwave reading headphones, which needs no batteries to make it run. The function of this headset is simply to be worn by user so it can continuously monitor the user’s brainwave. The headset needs NO battery as it’s powered by the body heat and sunlight. The headset is actually a portable electroencephalogram (EEG) device that is made to resemble a set of headphones. Which makes it not looking too weird while the user is wearing it on the head. The headset is meant for seizure patients, remote monitoring them whether they’re under certain stressed conditions. Or it can be used as input devices for computer games that allow you to control the game play with your mind. Basically, the headset needs about 0.8mW of electricity in order to detect precisely the brain wave signal. The headset is designed either powered by solar energy or by the body heat. And the total power generated by any of these methods is about 1 mW, which is more than enough to get it to detect brainwave accurately and send to the receiver. Some other great use would be using it to detect brain activity when a wearer is sleeping, which could lead to a better understanding and subsequently improve the quality of sleep of the wearer etc. [...]
